Greg Mason - Soprano Saxophone

Jim Fuchs, M.D.  -  Alto Saxophone

Born on a mountain top in Tennessee, Kilt a bar when I was only three.  No wait, that's Davy Crocket.......  I was born in Scranton, PA, played sax (tenor and alto) in high school (Concert Band and Dance Band).  Albany Medical College, University of Colorado (Pediatric Residency).  Married, 3 daughters.  Pediatrician at Adirondack Pediatrics since 1983.  Resumed playing saxophone in 2004 with the Lake George Community Band and joined the Lake George Saxophone Quartet in 2007.  I also arrange much of the music we play.

Kathi DiMauro  -  Tenor Saxophone

My “sax life” began in 5th grade with the alto, and continued through high school with Greg Mason as my band director. I then played as an exchange student in Belgium and also in college, but thereafter only sporadically for a number of years until my son was ready to learn. At that point, I took the saxophone back up in earnest and there has been no turning back! Two years ago, I started “dabbling” with some of the other saxes: soprano, tenor and bari. While enjoying them all, I quickly felt that the tenor was my true “voice”. Playing the sax is my hobby and my escape. Personally, my biggest thrill is having two sons who are musicians and plan on becoming music educators.

Frank Rollo, M.D.  -  Baritone Saxophone

Born in the Pacific Northwest but raised in Massachusetts, I played piano like everybody else for a few years as a kid.  I attended Holy Cross College and Loyola University Medical School.  Anesthesiology has been my career since 1980.  At the tender age of 44, I decided to learn how to play the saxophone from my teacher and friend, the above Greg Mason.  With Greg, we founded a saxophone quartet in 2000 which has morphed over the years into the Lake George Saxophone Quartet.  Married (sorry, girls!) and the father of five, I live in Queensbury, NY, just down the street from Lake George.
